Rudraksha with one facet is the manifestation of Lord Shiva himself and gives total salvation.
Ek mukhi (1 Facet) Rudraksha is considered to be Lord Shiva himself. The very sight (darshan) of it is enough to liberate us from all our sins, It is the most glorious gift to mankind by the most benevolent Lord Shiva, it is an excellent gift ever received by the mankind.
Ek mukhi Rudraksha is considered to be the sovereign among all Rudraksha. It has the best qualities, it is the most divine, and magical. It is considered to be more powerful and than the philosopher’s stone(parasmani) has the power to fulfill all the desires of a person. The qualities of Ek mukhi Rudraksha are mysterious and extremely effective.
The society is rift with various stories of Rudraksha. Each one has a special story to narrate about the Ek mukhi. Today the real Ek mukhi which is complete round and is not available at present, is very rare to see and rarer still to find even if it grows somewhere it might be directly eaten by the birds or it might be collected by such a person who would not like to inform anyone about it. After achieving such a rare bead he must be the master of all his achievements. After gaining such a Rudraksha he must be having a direct interaction with Lord Shiva and the world, society, status, fame and money all might be of no value for the owner of Ek mukhi. In my life time I have held many Ek mukhi in my sight(darshan) but when I saw no effect or brilliance of Ek muhi in them and that raised a natural doubt in the mind. When I inquired about them the answer would always be that it has been obtained by the person in a very tough manner, there was only one such bead and he had to pay a very high price for it. I too had such an experience, one gentleman promised me to get a completely round Ek muhi bead for me and quoted a very high price for it ,when I agreed to pay, I was again told that as there was only one bead I should be ready to pay whatever price that was asked for, I agreed and talked to a friend in America about it. My friend too desired to obtain it, so I asked the person to obtain 2 such beads, the gentleman came to me with 4 beads so that I could examine and choose. The very sight of the Rudraksha beads told me that they were not the real beads.
Here I do not mean to berate anyone but the truth is that there are many varieties of characters in the society. To-day if I will not narrate the truth, who will give the correct information about Rudraksha? Rudraksha needs no independent marketing campaign. To-day the Rudraksha has become the market king. The traders advertise it as a product and sell it at reasonable price as they are bound to do. In a market there is a competition among the sellers and each trader claims his product to be best, here the statement ,” our Rudraksha are the best” troubles our mind for the Rudraksha do not belong to us, they belong to all of us. We only beget them, check them out and ritually anoint them, this does not make them our product. Rudraksha are natural fruits, and an invaluable gift, to the mankind from ever compassionate Lord Shiva.
A widespread propaganda of Ek mukhi has popularized it a lot. 90 out of every 100 people ask us for the Ek mukhi Rudraksha, but the first thing it is very costly, moreover original Ek mukhi which is comparatively heavy, a bit swelled, grainy in texture, substantial and of complete shape here we are talking of cashew shape Rudraksha this Rudraksha does not have a clear hole to thread it so it has to be encased by some metal covering if one wants to wear it.
A completely round Rudraksha is not always easily available. To gain a completely round Ek mukhi Rudraksha is very costly and troublesome, It can be obtained only when one has total favor of Lord Shiva along with his blessings. It is believed that a completely round Ek mukhi Rudraksha is impossible to obtain.
There are only certain saints who are totally unconcerned about the world and the society. Such saints are always involved in their devotion to Lord Shiva and do not give importance to the cashew shaped Ek mukhi Rudraksha, for they believe that they do not fit in the definition of Rudraksha according to their belief the primary sign of the best Rudraksha is that, it completely round and the second sign is that there should be a natural hole through which you can pass a string, on both these counts the cashew shaped Rudraksha cannot stand and prove itself.
In’ Rudraksha Darshan’ (a spiritual exhibition on Rudraksha held by me) people especially bring their Ek mukhi Rudraksha for examination. The excellent qualities of Rudraksha can be judged as soon as you hold it in your hand. Experienced eyes at once judge it and evaluate it. In order to obtain a good and authentic Rudraksha one must rely only on an experienced Person or a well known institution. If you are going to get a ritually anointed Rudraksha you must understand that the ceremony to anoint the Rudraksha is a costly affair and it will raise the price of the Rudraksha twice or three times. You should not hesitate in paying a high price if you are sure of your source. Thus the real price of the Rudraksha is in the ritual anointment of the Rudraksha. If you are lucky enough to obtain an authentic Ek mukhi Rudraksha which is also ritually anointed, it will give good results for a very long time.
Our body is made up of five elements. The Ek mukhi Rudraksha predominantly affects the element of Ether (aakash), affecting the other four elements to a lesser degree. Thus we can say that the Ek mukhi Rudraksha affects all five elements of our body.
In these modern times our body is supposed to be housing many physical problems but Ek mukhi Rudraksha is said to be a panacea for all the diseases and it affects all the organs so it is considered to be the best cure for any disease and whatever organ it affects.
It is difficult to imagine a world without colors, this tells us how important colors are in our life. Ek mukhi Rudraksha affects all the colors but especially its effect is noticed on orange, strange accumulation of colors (kabarchitro) and yellow.
Number 3 (three) is considered to be the one which is specially favored by Ek mukhi Rudraksh. Ek mukhi Rudraksha is supposed to positively affect all the numbers but those whose lucky number is 3 are supposed to be favored the most by Ek mukhi Rudraksha.
While thinking of the group of people affected by Ek mukhi Rudraksha, we must say that the whole of the humanity is favorably affected by it.
The whole of the humanity is affected by the planets and their position in relation to the earth. The damage created by the planetary position in one’s astrological chart (Grah dosh) is very important and to escape this damage wearing Rudraksha is a good, likewise even carrying out special ceremonial rituals to please the planets (Griha shanty), the Ek mukhi Rudraksha is the best. When a person wears Ek Mukhi Rudraksha all the planets are affected (as we read in the chapter Rudraksha and Astrology). If one does not have an Astrological chart, is not sure of correct date of birth, birth time or birth place and yet one feels that he is suffering from the problems of planetary position, he should surely wear Ek mukhi Rudraksha without giving a further thought.
Those who are wearing Rudraksha under the guidance of astrological calculations they should wear it according to the alphabetical names or according to their astrological signs. Ek mukhi Rudraksha is considered to be the best for Pisces (Da, Ch, Z, Th) and for all other zodiacal signs.
Those desire ample amount of wealth, those who wish to enjoy the pleasures of life, those who are always wondering; when the good times would come and when would they enjoy the untold amount of wealth for the life all of them should wear the Ek mukhi Rudraksha without any question. When the person wearing Ek mukhi Rudraksha is completely satisfied with life he will automatically turn towards renunciation. Whereas renunciation with donations and selfless activities lead a person towards salvation and he becomes a hermit. Thus who desire salvation should surely wear Ek mukhi Rudraksha.
Devotion towards god is considered to be the breath of life. With help of devotion man can fulfill his strong desires and self reliant and due to devotion he fructifies his life and makes it worthy by indulging in charitable deeds and moves towards salvation. Thus those who wear Ek mukhi Rudraksha are attracted to a life of devotion and those who are already immersed in devotion, find their devotion increasing day by day.
A person whose astrological chart predicts Raj yoga at a certain time he reaches from rags to riches. He becomes the owner of power and prosperity, along with many achievements to his name. Many a times Raj yoga is predicted in the charts but the person is not able to enjoy its fruits, Or in order to regain Raj yoga one should wear Ek mukhi Rudraksha.
When a person wears Ek mukhi Rudraksha he is free from infatuation or addiction. An infatuated person, or a person who is addicted to something is always entangled in it, day in and day out he cannot think of anything else, Infatuation or perverse behavior destroys all fortune like, land, property, cash, estate, name, fame etc. Infatuation and addiction are considered to be the bane of beautiful and peaceful, spiritual life. Infatuation and addiction are such vicious cycles that it is not possible for a common man to be free from it, and loses social status and material prosperity in order that a person frees himself from such a situation, he should wear an anointed Ek mukhi Rudraksha.
Ek mukhi Rudraksha is considered to be the best solution to be free from planetary misfortunes. Planetary misfortunes are accepted universally and everyone wishes to free one’s self from it. When the Planets cause trouble, disturbance and cast an evil sight creating a bad situation for you, you start thinking of chanting of mantras, sacrificial rituals to pacify the planet, once a man is caught in such a web he loses his ability to think in the right direction. To free one’s self from the planetary misfortunes an anointed Ek mukhi Rudraksha is the best solution.
Wearing an Ek mukhi Rudraksha is considered to be a blessing if you want to enjoy the prosperity you have already been blessed with. Many people have lots of money, home, good business, social status etc. but unfortunately they are unable to enjoy all this as they do not have peace in their life.
It is well known belief that those who not are devout do not have money while those who have wealth are not devout. Both the beliefs are not note worthy for many devout people have lots of wealth and many wealthy people are very devout (this is my personal opinion and experience).When a person turns towards religion his wealth grows and when wealth grows he is ready to help others and thus he creates good karmas which in turn make him more devout. In present times wealth is the yardstick in every field of life, it is considered to be the crown of a person. Vealth is power, ability and also a type of intelligence (for it is thought that it is intelligent people who are successful). One is led to think that the wealth is one’s real introduction, wherever we go we are evaluated by our wealth weather it is society, business or the government. Wealth is considered to be the most important commodity that one has. Ek mukhi Rudraksha helps us not only to beget ample wealth but also to make us devout, pure in mind and action and gives us a pleasant disposition.
The sole aim of life is to gain the compassion of God, for though we may possess everything but if we do not have the blessings of God and if his compassion we do not know when we may lose our power, prestige, status in society, our beauty and our youth. In order that we may have the permanent benevolence of Lord Shiva we must wear Ek mukhi Rudraksha, so that the generous Lord Shiva showers his compassion on us.
